Free Speech Is Dead in Canada

In the past year, I witnessed two frightening assaults on free speech by a kangaroo “justice” system.  This wasn’t in some banana republic, North Korea, or China; it was in Canada.  These stories from Canada are potent warnings to the U.S.  If Congress and more states pass anti-discrimination “equality” laws giving special protection to LGBTQ identities, “hate speech” prosecutions and compelled speech will surely follow.  There can be no doubt of that, given the LGBT-driven lawsuits we have already seen against florists, bakers, and wedding photographers.  We’re seeing numerous battles over bathroom use and forced use of silly pronouns in our media, colleges, and public schools.  The EEOC already interprets Title VII (employment) to protect employees from “sexual orientation” discrimination.  So, we’re already on that totalitarian road; Canada is just farther along.  Read more: https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2019/01/free_speech_is_dead_in_canada_the_persecution_of_christian_activist_bill_whatcott.html#ixzz5ccLLULFE

Lord, Execute Judgment against the New Pharaohs and Their New Pagan Gods

“The plagues were intended to show the Egyptians  the powerlessness of the gods in which they believed. What is at stake in this confrontation is the difference between myth – in which the gods are mere powers, to be tamed, propitiated or manipulated – and biblical monotheism, in which ethics (justice, compassion, human dignity) constitute the meeting point of God and mankind.”  Today our progressive opinion-makers ridicule the concept of an eternal God and a world to come, but they believe that we soon will upload our minds to the Internet where our consciousness will continue intact.  Enlightened opinion now believes that we shall maintain our conscious minds in Google’s cloud.  Add to this a robotic body, and supposedly we can live forever. A lot of Silicon Valley billionaires take this seriously.  Read more:  https://pjmedia.com/spengler/lord-execute-judgment-against-the-new-pharaohs-and-their-new-pagan-gods/

Hollywood Actor Cut from ABC Show for Refusing to Do Sex Scenes is Glad he Stuck by Christian Values

Actor Neal McDonough says he was blacklisted in Hollywood for several years because he refused to perform sex scenes.  Known for his performances in “Band of Brothers,” “Minority Report” and “Desperate Housewives,” the Catholic actor recently opened up about his strong Christian convictions and said it cost him his job on ABC’s “Scoundrels” series in 2010.  “It was a horrible situation for me,” he told Closer Weekly of being fired for refusing to perform sex scenes with co-star Virginia Madsen. “After that, I couldn’t get a job because everybody thought I was this religious zealot. I am very religious. I put God and family first, and me second. That’s what I live by. It was hard for a few years.”  Read more:  https://www.christianpost.com/news/hollywood-actor-cut-from-abc-show-for-refusing-to-do-sex-scenes-is-glad-he-stuck-by-christian-values.html

Obama Administration Approved Thousands of Child Bride Requests

Thousands of requests by men to bring in child and adolescent brides to live in the US were approved over the past decade through 2017. In one case, a 49-year-old man applied for admission for a 15-year-old girl.  The Immigration and Nationality Act does not set minimum age requirements. And in weighing petitions for spouses or fiancées, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services goes by whether the marriage is legal in the home country and then whether the marriage would be legal in the state where the petitioner lives.  But the data raises questions about whether the immigration system may be enabling forced marriage and about how U.S. laws may be compounding the problem despite efforts to limit child and forced marriage.  Read more:  https://wtop.com/national/2019/01/apnewsbreak-us-approved-thousands-of-child-bride-requests/slide/1/

Gay Agenda Setback: Brazil’s New President Eliminates LGBT Office on First Day in Office

The day he was sworn in as Brazil’s new president, conservative Jair Bolsonaro signed an executive order removing LGBT concerns from the government’s human rights ministry, apparently affirming his traditional Christian, pro-family views and his rejection of “gender-based ideology.”  In his inauguration speech, Bolsonaro, who is strongly anti-socialist, said, “We are going to unite the people, rescue the family, respect religions and our Judeo-Christian tradition, combat gender ideology, conserving our values.”  The executive order that removes LGBT concerns from the ministry did not designate any other government office to address those issues.  Read more:  https://www.cnsnews.com/blog/michael-w-chapman/brazils-new-president-eliminates-lgbt-office-first-day-office

Art Exhibition at Viennese Cathedral Features Lesbians Kissing

A recently concluded art exhibition in the rectory of St. Stephen’s Cathedral in Vienna, Austria included an image [WARNING: Following links lead to graphic images] of two lesbians kissing in front of a church as well as an image of an almost completely nude woman posing as the Resurrected Christ.  The Austrian news website Kath.net reported today that these pictures were to be found and seen in the Curhaus, the building adjacent to St. Stephen’s Cathedral which is among other things the rectory and which is open for everyone, including children. The exhibition ran from September 2018 until January.  The artist, August Zoebl, states in the exhibition that “what is needed is the explosiveness of the pictures” in order to “communicate the outrageous message of the Resurrection.”  Read more: https://www.lifesitenews.com/blogs/art-exhibition-at-cdl.-schoenborns-cathedral-gallery-features-lesbians-kiss\
